Katie Bray graduated as a Karaviotis Scholar from the Royal Academy of Music and was
awarded the Principal’s Prize and First Prize in the Richard Lewis Singing Competition. She
won the Dame Joan Sutherland Audience Prize at BBC Cardiff Singer of the World in 2019.
Katie Bray has performed at many of the UK’s leading concert halls and festivals, including
Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, Milton Court, London Handel Festival, and Oxford Lieder
Festival. She has worked with conductors including Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Trevor Pinnock,
Douglas Boyd, Sian Edwards, David Parry, Christoph Altstaedt, and Laurence Cummings; and
with orchestras such as the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Scottish Chamber Orchestra,
Britten Sinfonia, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre Chambre de Paris, and
Wroclaw Baroque Orchestra.
Her operatic highlights include leading roles for Welsh National Opera, Opera North, Irish
National Opera, Opera Holland Park, Scottish Opera, English National Opera, English Touring
Opera, and Garsington Opera.
