What is a relaxed performance?
Do you love listening to live music, but for whatever reason, find that the traditional concert setting takes away from your enjoyment of the experience? Then our relaxed performances are designed for you!
You might:
- Not want to leave the house after dark
- Feel threatened by the ‘quietness’ of formal concerts
- Want to get to know the performers in a more personal way
- Not enjoy being squashed up close to other audience members and find the big crowds at concert halls intimidating
- Worry about ‘doing the wrong thing’
- Know that you will need come and go from the main space, but not want to be disruptive
- Want to sing and dance to show your appreciation of the music!
Specially designed for those with additional support needs and for those with caring responsibilities, our relaxed performances are a lot less formal than a traditional concert and are for anyone and everyone. With music to lift the spirit and relax the mind, you can get up and move around, take a break, or talk to your neighbour!
