Joshua McCullough

Bass, Bridging the Gap

Joshua recently graduated with an Honours Music degree from the University of Glasgow. During his studies, Joshua developed a love for choral and consort music, holding scholarships with the University of Glasgow Chapel Choir and the Kilbarchan Singers, and is a current Leverhulme Scholar in the National Youth Choir of Scotland (NYCOS) Chamber Choir. Joshua has also sung with NYCOS at the BBC Proms, at Carnegie Hall New York, at the Philharmonie de Paris, in Belgium for the Passchendaele centenary commemorations and at the Berlioz Festival La Côte-Saint-André under Sir John Eliot Gardiner. Joshua’s other credits include West Side Story (Edinburgh International Festival 2019), The Outlaw King (Netflix 2018) and Celtic Connections (BBC 2018), and various productions at The Lyceum Edinburgh.

Currently, Joshua holds a choral scholarship at Paisley Abbey and has also recently been selected for Genesis Sixteen (the young artists scheme of The Sixteen) for their 2022/23 cohort. Joshua also performs with Scottish ensembles Iuchair, Cantus Firmus and Barberscots, and is continuing his vocal studies with Phil Gault.
