How will my gift be used?

The short answer is, however you like! If you feel passionately about our recordings, or our work in the community, or our schemes for young artists, we are more than happy to pledge your gift towards a particular project — or you are welcome to leave it open-ended. The support we receive from our Friends helps to fund activity across the full range of our organisation, including the vital core costs that keep everything running. The Friends really are the heart and soul of Dunedin Consort.

What can I expect as a Friend?

We keep in touch with our Friends regularly, so you will be the first to hear about all our events, including receiving preview information and priority booking for our season. You will be invited to meet our musicians, music director and other Friends at at our annual season launch event and at pre-concert receptions throughout the year. And, if you choose, your support will be acknowledged in our concert programmes and on our website.

How do I join?

To become a Friend — or to buy membership as a gift for a friend or loved one — simply choose from the monthly or annual options below. These links will take you to our payment platform on GoCardless, where you can set up a direct debit in just a few minutes. If you would prefer to pay by cheque, or would like to speak to us about your options first, please give us a call and we will be happy to help. Large or small, every donation makes a difference, so thank you sincerely for your support.

What happens next?

Once we have received your direct debit notification, one of our team will be in touch by phone or email to thank you and to discuss the next steps. If you prefer to donate anonymously, for example, we are happy to ensure that your name is not printed in our programmes. We will also ask you about Gift Aid options — if you are a UK taxpayer this allows us to claim a further 25% on your gift.
