Cello, Intrada
Serena Fantini is a cellist born in 2003 in Rimini, Italy. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Historical Performance Practice at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main, where she studies with Kristin von der Goltz. Previously, she studied modern cello with Frans Helmerson, Hannah Eichberg, and Marianne Chen.
Serena has performed as a member of major international ensembles including the European Union Youth Orchestra and the Verbier Festival Orchestra, and regularly collaborates with the Spira Mirabilis Orchestra. In 2026–2027, she will take part in the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment Ann and Peter Law Experience Scheme. Her training in historical performance includes participation in the St Andrews Summer Baroque Course (2024) and Urbino Musica Antica (2023).
Serena is supported on the 2026-27 Intrada scheme, run in partnership with four partner ensembles: B’Rock Orchestra, Concerto Copenhagen, Le Banquet Céleste, Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, and Dunedin Consort.
