Laia Terré is a Catalan cellist, currently pursuing a Master’s in Historical Cello at Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, with Petr Skalka. She has previously studied at the conservatories of Amsterdam, Geneva, Utrecht, and Lleida, her hometown.
As a baroque cellist, Laia has been part of the Academy of Les Arts Florissants and has performed with ensembles such as Balthasar Neumann Ensemble, Theresia Orchestra, Nieuwe Philharmonie Utrecht, and New Dutch Academy. She has played with the MA Festival Orchestra and Gli Incogniti Académie, and in 2025 she started collaborating with La Cetra Barockorchester.
As a classical cellist, Laia regularly performs with Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, and has also played with Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and Tenerife Symphony Orchestra.
In 2025 Laia won first prize in Juventudes Musicales (Jeunesses Musicales), for 113th edition, dedicated to Early Music. She was also awarded first prize at the XVI Concurs Instrumental Sant Anastasi and Second Prize at the EMIR Steyerberg Prijs 2020.
Laia is supported on the 2025-26 Intrada scheme, run in partnership with four partner ensembles: B’Rock Orchestra, Concerto Copenhagen, Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, and Dunedin Consort.
