Edinburgh 21st March
J.S. Bach’s Matthew Passion

We return to The Queen's Hall to perform our annual Matthew Passion by JS Bach. This work was first performed at Easter between 1727-29 and our performances have now become firmly rooted in Scotland’s musical calendar. The concert, performed in German, expresses the emotion and drama of the Passion story alternating with Picander’s poignant and devotional verse. The date of this performance is especially fitting as it falls on the anniversary of Bach’s birthday.Date: Sunday 21st March
