Frances Cooper

Born in Inverness, Frances Cooper began her singing studies at the North East of Scotland Music School with Raimund Herincx, continuing in London with Johanna Peters.

Now based in Edinburgh, she performs as a soloist in oratorio and recital throughout Scotland, with repertoire including Bach Christmas Oratorio and Magnificat, Brahms Requiem, Handel Messiah and Dixit Dominus, Mozart Requiem, Mass in C Minor and Exsultate Jubilate, along with other well known sacred works.

She has sung with Dunedin Consort for several years and also sings with other Scottish based groups, such as Cappella Nova. She is a member of the early music quartet, Fires of Love, performing for music clubs and festivals around Britain. The group has recently made its second recording for Delphian Records, due for release in Spring 2008.
