Thank you to all of those who joined us on one of their hugely popular residential singing weekends to study Monteverdi’s Vespro della beata Vergine (1610).

Residential weekends in Dunblane
22–24th January & 12th–14th February 2010

These weekends followed on the very successful weekends in 2008 and 2009, which focused on Handel’s oratorio Israel in Egypt (2008) and Bach’s B Minor Mass (2009). The 2010 workshops were again be led by John Butt and Susan Hamilton, artistic directors of the Dunedin Consort, and included a lecture by Professor Butt. At the end of the second weekend, there was a runthrough of the Vespers in Dunblane Cathedral (, Sunday 14th February). All participants were invited to perform in this and friends and family were also welcome to attend.

Day workshop: Edinburgh, Sat 30th January.

In addition to the residential weekends, there was a day workshop on the Vespers in Edinburgh on Saturday 30th January.
