CANTORS’ CLUB
Support the Dunedin Consort by joining the Cantors’ Club! Cantors in Bach and Handel’s Germany were music directors for church and town and championed the arts. The Dunedin Consort looks to private individuals to champion its art in the form of personal giving.
There are four levels of annual giving which have been given titles of musicians at the time of Bach and Handel:
£50-£500 - Alumnus (Bach's word for 'Chorister')
£501-£1,000 - Stadtpfeifer (Professional instrumentalist)
£1,001-£2,500 - Konzertmeister (Leading musician)
£2,501 and over - Kapellmeister (Royal music director)
The Dunedin Consort has always enjoyed much generous private support which has allowed it to put on performances which would otherwise not have been possible. This kind of support is more and more important to the Consort and, with high profile recordings on the market (and shortly to be released), more than ever the Consort wants its audience to have the opportunity of enjoying its performances all over Scotland.
